Carta de boas-vindas à Au Pair

Dear Future Au Pair & Nanny,

Warm greetings from Seoul, South Korea!
We are so excited to welcome you into our home and into our lives.

Are you thinking about living in Korea? We believe that’s a truly wonderful decision! As the mother of this host family and the one writing this letter, I want to tell you sincerely: if you choose to join us, you’ll be LUCKY. We live literally in the center of Seoul, which means you’ll enjoy incredible access to the entire city. Seoul Station—the hub for KTX bullet trains and the Airport Railroad—is just 4 subway stops away. The nearest bus stop is only a 2-minute walk, and the subway station is just 5 minutes on foot. Getting anywhere in Seoul is fast and inexpensive. Once you're here, you’ll see what a huge advantage this is in your daily life and travels.

If you're interested in learning Korean while staying with us, you’re in luck! The best university in Korea, Seoul National University, is only 25 minutes away by car, or 9 stops on the light rail line with no transfers needed. It’s a fantastic place to take Korean language classes with other international students.

We truly hope you’ll consider becoming a part of our family. We are ready to support you, care for you, and share a meaningful experience together. Thank you for reading this letter—we can’t wait to meet you!

Warmly,
Your Host Mom in Seoul

--

Please note that South Korea does not have an official government-supported Au Pair program. This means that you are responsible for finding a visa that allows you to stay and work in Korea. Unfortunately, we as a host family are unable to provide assistance with visa sponsorship. I am looking for someone who can stay with us for at least one year, so I kindly ask you to contact us only if you have already obtained an appropriate visa (or are at least in the process of applying for one).

I am prioritizing candidates who are able to start working as soon as possible. If you have not yet applied for a visa, please keep in mind that the process may take longer than expected. When messaging, it would be helpful if you could indicate your estimated arrival time in Korea.

Descrição de trabalho

IMPORTANT: Please contact me after finishing your visa processing.

I'm looking for someone who can work as an au pair from December 2025 to March 2026 (for 2-year-old daughter only), and then as a nanny from April 2026 to December 2026(for a coming newborn), consecutively. Please apply only if you can do both roles in succession.

--

As an Au Pair, your working hours will be:

* Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM,
for a total of 6 hours per day, 30 hours per week.

* Morning Routine (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM)

Your main job in the morning is to help our daughter get ready for daycare.
This includes:

- Gently waking her up
- Helping her change clothes
- Preparing and feeding her breakfast
- Helping her wash her face and brush her teeth
- Walking her to daycare (about a 7-minute walk), either on foot or with a stroller

* Afternoon & Evening Routine (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM)

Your main responsibilities in the afternoon include:

- Picking her up from daycare and bringing her home
- Helping with handwashing and changing clothes
- Giving her a snack and playing with her
- Assisting with dinner and daily bath time
- Supporting her until bedtime routines begin (usually between 8:00–9:00 PM)

* For New Au Pairs:
We prefer a person who has experience with 0-1 year old baby. (especially the newborn)

* Additional Duties for Nanny:

As a nanny (not au pair), your responsibilities will include everything listed above plus staying overnight with the newborn.
(You will sleep in the same room with the newborn and help if he/she wakes during the night.)

* For the safety of both the child and the caregiver, CCTV cameras are installed in the living room and in the bedroom where the newborn sleeps (which will also be your room when working as a nanny). The camera in the bedroom only needs to be turned on while sleeping.

* The job includes preparing the child’s meals and cleaning up afterward. Any ingredients you need will be purchased upon request, and a dishwasher is available to make cleanup easier.

* If the child is unable to attend daycare, applicants who can work full-time will be given preference.

Acomodação de Aupair

As a valued member of our household, we want you to feel safe, comfortable, and at home.
You will be provided with your own private bedroom in our apartment, which has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

You will use a shared bathroom, which you’ll mostly share with our child.
My husband and I primarily use the other bathroom, so the one designated for you will stay relatively quiet and accessible.

Your bedroom features a large window with a beautiful night view of Yeouido, one of Seoul’s most iconic cityscapes.
The room is equipped with blackout curtains for better sleep, and in the winter, an electric heated mattress pad can be provided upon request.

If you prefer a room that is quieter and receives less light, we can also offer an alternative bedroom in the apartment.
Your comfort matters to us, and we are happy to discuss your preferences to make sure you feel at ease in your new home.

Oh, and if you're wondering about Wi-Fi in Korea—you don’t need to.
It’s just everywhere.
And yes, of course, we have fast, reliable Wi-Fi in our home too.

Your pocket money would be KRW 600,000 won (au pair) & KRW 1,300,000 won (nanny).
