Hello, I’m Eleanor, I recently graduated from Edinburgh University and am currently taking a year out to travel around the world. I have been lucky enough to visit Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam on my travels and am currently exploring the nature and culture of Tasmania. Australia is my next destination and I would love the opportunity to au pair for a family in Sydney while I’m there. During my time travelling I have found a passion for discovering new places and an appreciation for connecting with people from different backgrounds.

Becoming an au pair in Australia offers me the unique opportunity to combine my passion for working with children with my desire to immerse myself in a different culture. I have an eagerness to learn and adapt to new environments along with a genuine passion for working with children. I will be absolutely committed to providing attentive and caring support to the children of my host family while also having fun! Additionally, I believe I will be an enthusiastic and positive addition to any family, with my recent graduation reflecting my dedication to learning and personal growth.

While I may have limited formal experience in childcare, I am well-qualified for the au pair position due to my hands-on experience caring for my younger cousins. As the eldest in my family, I have taken on the role of looking after them on numerous occasions, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the process. This experience has equipped me with patience, responsibility, and a natural ability to connect with children. I am enthusiastic about expanding my childcare skills, embracing new challenges, and becoming a valuable member of a family's daily life. My eagerness to learn and adapt makes me a strong candidate for this position.
