Dear future host family, My name is Hellen, a 21-year-old Brazilian with a certificate in Library Technician.
While my formal experience with children is primarily within my family circle, including caring for siblings, cousins, and gᴏdchildren, my passion for working with kids knows no bounds. I bring a creative skill to childcare, often engaging children with crafts like crochet, jewelry making, clay modeling, puppetry, etc., as well as storytelling sessions.
My native language is Portuguese, but I'm proficient in English, with intermediate to advanced proficiency, and I also have a basic understanding of Spanish.
My ultimate goal is to immerse myself in a new culture and way of life, and I believe there's no better way to achieve this than by living with a family in their home country. I'm excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and embrace the adventure of cultural exchange while providing attentive care to your children.

Experiência com crianças

Most of my experience with kids comes from taking care of children in my own family. Even though my youngest brothers are teenagers now, I've always helped take care of them, especially when one of them lived with us for a while. Additionally, I have four gᴏdchildren, two of them are children of my best friend. I was there throughout her pregnancies, and I've taken care of them a couple of times.
My family and friends have always trusted me with their children because I've always been very loving and caring with kids. I prioritize respect above all else, practicing positive discipline and always considering their opinions, thoughts, and feelings.
Because I value kindness and playfulness, I easily connect with children and build strong bonds with them. I believe children appreciate my caring approach, and we often share wonderful moments together. It brings me great joy to treat them with kindness, respect their individuality and create memorable experiences through play and fun activities.
I think that when we grow up surrounded by children, learning to take care of them becomes almost second nature.
