Dear host family,

My name is Laura Isabel Bazan and first of all I'd like to thank you for taking me into account for this important position as an Au Pair as it concerns the most precious thing in anyone's life, their children.

I'm 20 years old. I currently live in Münich, and I already count with a valide AuPair Visa until August 25th, 2024.
I come from Bucaramanga, a rather big, peaceful and beautiful city in Colombia where I used to live with my younger brother and my parents. Throughout my life languages have been a passion to me and thankfully my parents have always supported it, so I went to a bilingual school with emphasis in English and have taken extensive courses in French. At the moment I'm taking part in a university's program in gastronomy as I've always loved to cook.

I would love to become your Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them as I've many times taken care of my younger cousins and sometimes helped with my parents' friends' children. I already have experience as an AuPair in Germany for 6 months.

I'm aware of the challenges, responsibilities and rewards of this task and I'm sure that we would have a very enjoyable time together.

Im an easy going and happy person who knows how to respect boundaries and follow house rules. I also think of myself as a calm and patient person that prefers to talk and listen rather than fight or ignore problems until they became out of hand. I also like to help at home and feel useful to the people surrounding me.

I'm sure my experience in gastronomy, languages and with family and friends will help me fit into my new role as your new Au Pair. Though I have an attachment to my Colombian roots and I’m very proud of my culture and heritage I don't think I'll be particularly homesick because of the excitement I feel about the thought of being in an interesting culture learning a challenging language in a great country like Germany. Also, my 28-year-old half-brother has been living, studying and working as a medical doctor in Germany for almost 12 years now and if I ever miss home he will always be just a train ride away in case you don't need me on a weekend.
