Dear Host Families,

My name is Jasmine, and I have a strong interest in becoming an Au Pair in Germany! I have always been passionate about cultural exchange and childcare, and I believe that this opportunity aligns perfectly with my aspirations.

I am 20 years old (21 in January 2024) from the UK with a deep appreciation for different cultures and a strong desire to broaden my horizons by immersing myself in a new environment. I come from a close-knit family, which has instilled in me a sense of responsibility, empathy, and adaptability – qualities I believe are essential for being a successful au pair. My Grandma was born and raised in Dresden, so naturally I have a deep connection with Germany, its people, culture and (most notably!) its food!

In July 2024, I will graduate university with a degree in Fashion and Textiles. As a creative person, I am excited to share my knowledge and experiences with your children and help them to be creative too. More importantly, I am eager to learn from them and your family, as I believe that cultural exchange enriches both parties involved.

In terms of childcare experience, I have around 2 years of experience caring for children of various ages. I have worked as a babysitter, volunteered at a local Girl Guides group and helped my mother at the primary school she is Principal at. These experiences have honed my ability to create a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for kids.

What makes me an ideal candidate for your family is my genuine love for children, my commitment to their well-being, and my willingness to become an active member of your household. I am more than willing to help with light household chores, such as meal preparation and tidying up, to ensure that your family's daily life runs smoothly.

I understand that inviting an au pair into your home is a significant decision, and I am committed to building a strong, respectful, and trusting relationship with your family.
