My name is Amie I am 19 years old and originally from The Gambia, currently living in Germany under a family reunification permit. I speak fluent English and have basic German skills, which I’m working to improve. I am kind, patient, and committed to creating a better future for myself and my siblings. I’ve always cared deeply about helping others and making them feel safe, seen, and supported.
2. Why I Want to Become an Au Pair & Join a Home Share with the Elderly
I want to become an Au Pair or participate in a home share with the elderly because I truly enjoy caring for others and learning from people of different ages and cultures. Living in a warm, family-like environment would allow me to continue improving my German, understand German life more deeply, and contribute positively to someone else’s daily life—whether by helping with children or being a companion to an older person.

I qualify for this position because I have experience caring for my younger siblings and supporting family members emotionally and practically.
