Hi! My name is Isabella, but I go by my middle name Josephine. I am a Virginia native, I have lived in this state my entire 18 years of life, and although I do love being so close to the beach and my friends, I have always had this yearning for more. I am a traveler, always have been, since I was very young, and have never felt homesick. I adore any form of the arts, novels, plays, paintings, music; I am a huge fan of impressionism, Edward Hopper, listening, learning, and good food. I'm a big believer in living in the moment, in noticing the tiniest details and making them a masterpiece, and in hearing people out with and open heart and mind.
With the recent events of my life, my home is being sold and I am faced with a decision of staying stagnant or growing through the discomfort, changing. I think Au Pairing is an incredible opportunity to change my environment, to sort of find myself though helping others and being in a blank canvas place of mind.
My entire aim throughout life is to listen, to learn, and hopefully to teach or inspire. Kindness and perspective are my principles. I enjoy meeting new people and making space to host genuine connections; I feel as though I try to bring warmth and love to any room I enter. I would aim to enrich the lives of the people around.
I grew up in my church, and a big part of that was childcare, I spent lots of hours being a daycare teacher or a camp counselor. I've learned how to contain dozens of rowdy children, how to create engaging games or conversation, and how to make someone feel seen and heard. I am a great organizer, I LOVE cooking for others, especially treats. I also have a niece and nephew, as well as other babysitting jobs in my neighborhood over the years.
