Dear Future Host Family,
I’m so excited to introduce myself to you! I’m currently studying Developmental Psychology at the University of Toronto, and I’ve spent the past few years doing what I love most—working with children and supporting their growth and well-being.
I’ve been taking care of children for over five years, and for the past three years, I’ve worked professionally in childcare. I’ve cared for children of various ages, from infants to pre-teens, and each experience has helped shape me into a patient, responsible, and creative caregiver. I enjoy building meaningful connections, creating fun and educational activities, and being a consistent, caring presence in children’s lives.

I want to become an Au Pair and Nanny because I’m passionate about both childcare and cultural exchange. I look forward to becoming part of a new family, learning about your daily life and traditions, and contributing positively to your home. At the same time, I hope to share a bit of my own culture and background with you and your children.
One of the strengths I bring is language. I speak English, French, and Mauritian Creole fluently, and I’m at an elementary level in Spanish. I believe communication is key in caregiving, and I would be happy to help your children feel comfortable with language or even introduce them to a new one if you’d like.

You should consider hosting me because I’m dependable, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about working with children. My academic background in developmental psychology gives me a strong understanding of children's emotional and cognitive needs, and I always approach caregiving with empathy, structure, and patience.
