Dear Host Family, in college, I discovered my true enthusiasm for the world of children, and ever since, I have dedicated my professional journey to it. I hold a qualification in Primary Education but I have been working as a child therapist for the past five years, supporting children of different ages and needs. Throughout this time, I have cared for little ones from babies to teenagers, though I have more experience with children up to five years old, a stage I find truly magical for its richness of discovery and development. Much of my work has been with children on the autism spectrum, across all levels of support. This has allowed me to develop therapeutic skills that are always guided by empathy, care, and genuine affection. While I am not a psychologist, I have been working as a therapeutic assistant for five years, which has given me a sensitive understanding of each child’s unique needs. But I'm not here to be a therapist, I'm looking for a oportunity to take care of childen in any given circumstance, I have experience in babysitting as well as in household tasks related to children, such as cooking for them, supporting their personal care, organizing indoor activities, and accompanying them in outdoor activities, and I can bring therapeutic knowledge that allows me to support the emotional well-being of neurotypical children while fostering the growth and development of neurodiverse children. For me, childhood is a universe full of wonder, where play is not only joy but also one of the most powerful ways to learn and grow. Alongside my professional experience, I also have a heartfelt admiration for Ireland. I am fascinated by its culture, familiar with its history, in addition I play a lot of musical instruments, and I already know a lots of irish folk songs that I use to sing to my previous patients (they loved it!). I already have advanced English, so I can communicate with ease and warmth, building a genuine connection with your family and your children as we share everyday life together.

Experiência com crianças

I have extensive experience working with children in various settings, including schools, clinics, and home environments. My background as a therapeutic assistant in multiple schools has given me a strong understanding of the school environment, classroom routines, and how to support children effectively in structured educational settings. In clinics, I worked closely with children of different ages and needs, including children on the autism spectrum at all levels of support. Beyond my formal duties, I often cared for children in non-therapeutic ways, such as feeding, engaging in free play, assisting with personal care, and helping with household routines. I have also volunteered with underprivileged children, providing meals, playing, helping with bathing, and storytelling. These experiences reinforced my patience, empathy, and creativity, strengthening my natural aptitude as a caregiver. I enjoy creating playful and educational activities that promote learning, motor skills, social development, and emotional well-being, all while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. With this diverse experience, I am confident in my ability to adapt to new families and provide attentive, compassionate, and engaging care for children in any setting.
