Lettre pour l'Au Pair
Dear Future Au Pair,
We are so excited to welcome you into our family and embark on this journey together! I am so happy you found our family. Our home is filled with love, laughter, and adventure, and we hope you will feel comfortable and at home with us.
A Little About Our Family
We are a fun-loving, active family of four, plus our three adorable dachshunds Onyx, Huxley and Jakey! Our household is always lively, and we believe in creating a warm, structured, and supportive environment for our children.
We are parents to twin boys, who are two years old and full of energy, curiosity, and joy. They love to explore, play, and learn new things. As toddlers, they thrive on routine and structure, so maintaining consistency is very important to us. They are sweet, silly, and affectionate but also very busy! If you're someone who enjoys an active role in a child’s daily life, you will love being part of our family.
Our Daily Life & Routine
Our weekdays are quite structured, as both parents work full-time. Your role as an Au Pair will be essential in keeping our twins' routine running smoothly. Here’s what a typical day looks like:
Morning
(7:00 AM) - Wake Twins' up, diaper changes, and getting them ready for the day.
(7:30 AM): Breakfast prep while Twins' do a quiet activity.
Daytime: Engaging them in fun activities, meals, playtime, and nap time.
Nap Time: Starts Between 12:15 PM - 12:30 PM and ends around 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM
Nap Time Tasks: While they sleep, we ask for help with light childcare-related duties (cleaning bottles, wiping down high chairs and dining table, planning their weekly food menu and activites).
Afternoon: More playtime, activities, and diaper changes before the end of your shift at 5:00PM.
***Evenings & Weekends: Evenings are family time, and weekends are more flexible. We enjoy outings, playing with the kids, and spending quality time together.
Our family loves outdoor activities, cultural experiences, and traveling when possible. We also enjoy simple, fun moments like playing in the backyard, reading books, or watching a family movie.
