We are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with children and has some experience of that, possibly in a formal setting (nursery, school). We would like that Luca learns English so it is important that he enjoys his time with you! We are looking therefore for a native English language speaker or someone who is fluent in English.
We would ask our au pair to do some light domestic chores such as setting the table, hanging out the laundry or unloading the dishwasher, the kind of things that we all regularly do in the house (including Luca!). Someone comes weekly to do the main cleaning in the house. So we are not looking for someone who does the cleaning in the house but someone who keeps their bedroom tidy and helps with the 'collective' domestic chores.

We would ask the au pair to take Luca to school in the morning and pick him up from school (at around 430pm). We would like the au pair to stay with him after school until around 6pm. Once a week, the au pair could take him to the swimming pool (10 minutes walk) after school. At the weekends, we often go away on a trip or go for a long walk so the au pair would have substantial spare time.

In the morning, we take Luca to school and we pick him up at 4pm or later (he can stay there until 530pm at the latest if needed). After school, we go to the park or the beach, or stay home if the weather is not good. Towards 630pm, we are home preparing dinner. We eat at 730pm on some days, or at 8pm on other days.
Luca's grandparents live in Genoa and help us picking up him from school on some days.
