Hi Au Pairs!
We’re the Wahba family looking for our next Au Pair to join our home. Our wonderful au pair of two years is returning home, and we’re excited to welcome our next caring, dependable au pair. We are sad to let her go but she has graciously offered to speak with any new Au Pairs about her experience and what it's like being a part of our family!

Where: Seattle suburbs (SeaTac), ~20-minute drive to downtown

When: January 2026 or February 2026 start, 1-year term with option to extend

About Us
We’re Colleen & John, both software engineers who mostly work from home. We have a very easy-going toddler (2 years old, 2 years 8 months at time of arrival) and we are expecting a newborn (due November 2025). Colleen will be on maternity leave until March to care for the baby and help with anything you might need until you adjust to the schedule. Our workdays are generally flexible, allowing us to create a comfortable and balanced environment. The Seattle area is mild and cloudy much of the year—but summers are incredible!

Schedule & Needs
40 - 45 hours per week
Example schedule: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday- Friday with a 1-hour lunch break (40 working hours per week including occasional weekend coverage for a few hours)
Occasionally, we may move a few hours from the weekday to an evening with advance notice, always within 45 hours

What we are looking for in an Au Pair:
Female only
Infant-qualified and excited to help a baby and toddler grow and develop
Language: strong English speaker OR Arabic speaker with at least intermediate English (dad is Egyptian and bilingual)
Loving, attentive toddler care: age-appropriate play, walks to parks, crafts, simple meals/snacks, nap routine
Infant support when baby is of age: diapers, bottles, soothing, playing; tummy time and safe-sleep awareness
Child-related tidying of play areas and baby/child laundry
Load/unload dishwasher daily; keep shared areas and kids’ rooms tidy
Responsible, clean, and proactive; great communicator who is open to giving and receiving feedback
Comfortable in a Christian (Coptic Orthodox) household
Non-smoker
