Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Avery, I’m 23 years old and from a small town near Toronto, Canada. I grew up surrounded by family and have always played a big role in caring for the younger ones in my life — especially my niece Maddy (7) and nephew Mason (4), as well as my step-siblings Bryn (13) and Owen (11). Helping out with homework, playing games, cooking together, traveling together, or simply being a steady, loving presence in their lives has always meant so much to me.

I want to become an Au Pair because I’m ready for a new chapter — one filled with growth, connection, and meaningful experiences. I love the idea of being welcomed into a home and becoming a big sister figure that your children can trust and have fun with. I’m especially drawn to cultures that value family, connection, good food, and open-hearted living, and I’d be honoured to experience that with your family.

I believe I’d be a great fit in your home because I’m warm, tidy, responsible, and genuinely love caregiving. I’m also a certified yoga teacher and Level 1 Reiki practitioner, and I bring a calm, grounded energy to the spaces I’m in. I regularly practice yoga and mindfulness, and these tools help me stay patient, present, and attuned to the needs of others — especially children. In addition, I’m certified in nutrition and currently working toward my personal training certification, so health and wellness are a big part of my daily life.

I absolutely love cooking and baking for my family and friends (I’m usually the one bringing the snacks or hosting dinner nights!), and I take great care in creating cozy, nourishing environments. I also enjoy long walks, reading, and being creative through painting, scrapbooking, and crafts — especially ones I can share with little ones!

I’m looking for a family who is kind, open-minded, and values a warm, supportive home — because that’s what I aim to bring to yours. I will care for your children with love, creativity, and consistency, and I’ll be someone they can rely on and look up to.
