Dear Host Family,

My name is Kitija, and I would love to introduce myself and my family to you. I was raised in Ogre, a city in Latvia, alongside my two brothers—Gustav and Heinrichs. I come from a warm, loving family where everyone supports one another. My youngest brother Gustav plays basketball, and we often go running together. My older brother Heinrihs used to play floorball. My parents run a family business, and we all contribute to it, which has taught me the value of teamwork and responsibility from a young age. My whole family fully supports my decision to become an Au Pair.

I am certified fitness trainer and work out daily. Dancing is a lifelong passion—I have trained in various dance styles since childhood and currently teach dance to young children. I also enjoy hockey training, running, and acrobatics.

In addition to my passion for movement and sport, I am interested in business and investing. I've gained work experience in several areas, including as a barista, waitress, nanny, advertising specialist for my family's business, and participating in food tastings. I’ve also taken part in many volunteer projects.

I’m a creative person with a love for art and music. I studied at both art and music school, and I can play the piano, guitar, and ukulele. Reading is another passion of mine—I enjoy books that help me grow and learn something new.

I have lots of experience with children, not only from helping raise my younger brother but also from regularly caring for the children of neighbors and family friends. Children naturally gravitate toward me, and I enjoy creating a fun, caring, and active environment for them.

I have traveled a lot with my family, and I’ve also had the chance to travel with my folk dance group, which has given me a taste for exploring new cultures.

I want to become an Au Pair in America because I see it as a wonderful opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture, meet new people, and experience family life from a different perspective. I am excited to improve my English, build lifelong connections, and grow personally and professionally. Most of all, I look forward to spending time with children—playing games, being active, and creating meaningful memories together.
