Lettre pour la famille d'accueil
I'VE FOUND MY OCCUPATION FOR THE REST OF 2025
Hi!
My name is Linnéa, an ambitious and driven girl from Sweden.
I'm currently working as an aupair in New Zealand for a wonderful family between august 2024 and august 2025. I've fallen in love with the job lifestyle and would love to experience it in my own country.
I prefer to work with older kids and teenagers as I find it more rewarding personally. I know a lot of aupairs rather not, cause bigger kid's bigger problems. But I feel like it suits my personality better and I find a lot of meaning in being that person I myself would have needed at that age.
I want to be a part of a loving family, help out to make everyday life work out smoothly, raise prosperous children and see the kids thrive as individuals. My advantage of already being a Swedish citizen, knowing the language etc. will be a big plus for your convenience and the kids' education, connection to me etc.
I’m looking for a family to share at least 3 months with mainly for the reason of the kids' security and comfort but since I'm already “home”, I don't have any visas etc to restrict me to I’m very flexible and open with my stay. If it's a good fit for everyone I have no problem staying for a year or longer until life has other plans.
As a person I would say I'm forward as soon as I'm comfortable with my surroundings, kind, flexible, understanding and problem solving. My nearest would describe me as a loyal, mature, driven, caring and loving person. I love new experiences, getting to know new people and learning but I'm also introverted and need to be in my own bubble sometimes to regulate and fill up with new energy.
Kids have always been a part of my life. I've grown up with younger siblings and foster kids. I have 12 cousins, I'm the oldest so I babysat a lot. Been a trainer since I was twelve and head trainer since I was fourteen. I've worked with a lot of different people and settings over the years. Groups from 4 to 15 participates, ages 3-20+, demanding, time and patience consuming, regular and disabled. Before leaving Sweden, I was head trainer for a para-group of four girls aged 5 to 24, disabilities various from NPF diagnosis and mental handicap to heavy physical restricted due to conditions like cp and other. I really enjoy working with people and kids. Everything from planning, preparation and execution to seeing results. It's a really beautiful thing to be a part of the process of another human being's progress.
I would say I have a gentle parenting style but with clear boundaries. My leading words are to treat kids as humans. I have had experience with parents treating their kids like pets or trophys. Aware or not, a lot of people act towards kids in a way they would never dream of acting towards another adult. Of course, we have to adjust ourselves and the environment to benefit the child. We can't treat kids like adults because they aren't there in their development yet. But we have to treat them with respect as human beings.
Match list:
To make it easier for both parts to make sure we are on the same path. I don't want to sound demanding or complicated. This is strictly to make sure we are a good fit to each other.
I don’t want:
- A strict, military, authority parenting style
- Pets like spiders and insects
- An unstructured, yelling, abusive or addict household
- Strongly religious
I want:
- My own room
- Internet and ability to work with my side business on my computer in my spare time
- Trust from the parents to make decisions regarding the children. Such as what food
to make, book playdates, do home activities etc.
- Flexibility, understanding and respect
