Dear host family,
My name is Juliana Belen and I am 24 years old. I live in a coastal town in Argentina, called Villa Gesell, with my mother, Mariela, and my stepfather, Fabian. But now im in fano , marche Italy. Living with my cousin and my aunt.
I am a Physical Education and Yoga teacher (graduated in 2019 and 2020, respectively), and I strongly believe that children learn a lot from us, but we learn more from them than we think. In my experience, it is wonderful to see them grow up with us and learn about other cultures too. I am delighted to have the opportunity to improve my English, meet your lifestyle, your customs, and your country, which I greatly admire.
I am a creative and active person, but also, I am quiet, adventurous, empathic, earnest, and strong. I have decided to become an au pair because it combines the best of being part of a family, travelling, and working at the same time. I have never been in an au pair program before, but I have close friends who have been working for two years and they are very happy with the experience.
I have been practicing my English with a teacher and with apps on my smartphone to become more fluent.
I have an assembled family, since my parents are divorced, but they get on very well. We are a big, close, sociable, and amicable family, and I love it. All my relatives live near each other, so if one of us has spare time we spontaneously visit each other, drink mate, have dinner or lunch. Thus, I became a flexible person, who adapts to most of the plans. We support each other in good and bad moments and that is the most important thing in a family, unity. As regards my parents, my mother has one sister, and my father has two sisters, one of which lives with my cousin in Italy.
I love children, and I have always taken care of my little cousin. I used to prepare her food, help her with homework, play and d crafts together, go to the beach or cinema, and go for a walk. I have always been surrounded by children!
The last summer i take care Juana. Who is 7 years old, we past the best summer, we we used to go to the beach, plaza, ride a bike. we drew and did artistic gymnastics.
On cloudy days we cooked and watched movies. in addition to board games.
When I graduated from high school, I moved to Mar del Plata and studied to become a Physical Education teacher. Living away from home, one of the most important decisions in my life, has taught me to appreciate many things, to be much more responsible than I was before moving, and to grow up. It was a very good opportunity to learn more about myself.
I have always been very active and hard-working, so I tried to help at home by combining my studies with different jobs while I lived away. However, since those years, I have always returned to my hometown in summer recess.
I have worked as an artistic gymnastics teacher with girls ranging from 2 to 15 years old, and I love working with children because they know how to get the best out of myself and I try to teach them to do their best in return. It is a very rewarding job. I have also worked as a teacher going to school camps. Life in nature is a big part of me.
My family and my friends say that I am an extremely responsible and lovely person. As I already mentioned, children are my passion, so this year I decided to fulfil my dream of being an au pair in Europe. Everyone at home supports my decision and is very excited because they know how much I love travelling, working and meeting new people.
Besides childcare experience, I train too much. I practice spinning and running besides doing a strict routine at the gym. I really love sports.
During the strongest months of quarantine in my country, I graduated as a yoga teacher, and since then I practice every day. The season of 2021 and part of 2022 i Teaches yoga and i continue with classes online.
I also love reading books and watching movies, travelling and learning about other cultures and customs, as well as meeting new people and sharing experiences with them. I like healthy eating, cooking, and trying new recipes. I enjoy baking cakes and chocolate cookies, brownies, cheesecakes, and fruit smoothies. I find very entertaining teaching children how to prepare desserts and veggie meal.
