I hope you can help me. My mother is very social and loves companionship. She has dementia, but is still cognitively with it, she is struggling with mobility however.
I am looking for someone who can live with her and simply monitor her - making sure she takes her medication, gets out of bed OK, and basically alert emergency services if she falls or has a major medical problem. You're not expected to be her nurse or a carer as such; she will be getting outside services for a lot of that. She just needs someone around to make sure she's OK and alert people if she's not.

The apartment is furnished and is light and airy. The bedroom has a double bed and it's own bathroom. It's located in a retirement village, which has it's own gardens and communual living spaces.
It's located in Woollahra in Sydney so is close to the city, amazing shopping and cafes/restaurants/bars, as well as the beaches and convenient public transport. Centennial park is also very close by.

My mother is 80 and incredibly social. She was an artist/teacher and is very creative. She is good company and despite having dementia she is cognitively with it. Her main challenge is mobility, which is why we need someone monitoring her.
