Hi, I'm Chloe!

I am 24 years old, I live in a small town in Yorkshire with my family where I work in marketing, a career I fell into due to circumstance and ended up loving. I went to university in Liverpool at 18 to study Events Management and eventually moved back home at 22 having achieved a 1st class bachelor's degree and found my passion for all things digital marketing.

I live at home with my parents (both 50), younger brother (21) and dog (5 months old and the cutest thing ever), I am very close with my family, my grandparents and aunties and uncles all live close by and I enjoy spending my free time with them and my friends. For fun, I enjoy anything crafty, getting outside and exploring and also CrossFit, this is new for me but I'm loving learning new skills and pushing myself with new challenges.

I work locally for a scientific marketing agency which I am due to leave on the 5th June as while I enjoy the marketing field, I have other goals and ambitions, such as travelling and living abroad which has always been important for me, specifically living in New York!

Alongside working full time in marketing I also work in a small coffee shop in a village close to where I live, I have worked here for almost 10 years on and off since I was 14, around the same amount of years I have been babysitting for.

I have supported 10 families with childcare, some for longer than others, many for 3+ years, including picking up and taking to school, cooking meals, homework, bath and bedtime routines and generally just playing with and entertaining the children, ensuring they enjoy being in my care, feel safe and trust me as their guardian.

At 14 I took a health and social care course at school with the goal of becoming a nanny one day, I had seen that my cousin had a nanny and given how much I love children and spending time playing with them I couldn't believe someone could do this as a full time job!

Not only this but living in New York has always been a goal of mine and for a while I have wondered whether to look for employment in marketing or to au pair and tick two life goals off in one go, this feels like the best fit for me and the dream job and location for me.

I have family in the city as well as in New Hampshire and Virginia and every time I visit, I never want to leave. As long as I can remember my goal has to live in the US so now is the time to do it!

Doświadczenie w opiece na dziećmi

I haven't worked as an au pair before, specifically living in and working full time however I have experience babysitting and supporting families in my local area with childcare.

I absolutely love it and have always wanted to au pair abroad as it combines living in a new country and looking after children into one, achieving two big goals I have in life.

I have supported 10 families over the past 10 years with babysitting, most of which I have only stopped working with due to circumstance, for example when I went to university in a different city I wasn't available to work with the families back home.

As a babysitter I have covered areas such as school pick ups and drop offs, cooking meals, helping with homework, bath and bedtime routines, playing with the children and taking them for days out when the parents need support in the school holidays while they are working, (the little girls also love my hair braiding and often won't go to bed without their hair done (which I also love)).

I am keen to expand my experience, become closer with a family and help them with childcare for an extended period of time while getting to live in and explore a new place.
