List do rodziny
My name is Laura, and I’m really excited about the idea of becoming an au pair in New Zealand — something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’ve never been to your beautiful country, but I’ve always dreamed of visiting and experiencing everyday life there, not just as a tourist, but as part of a real family.
Since I was a teenager, I’ve wanted to be an au pair. My mum spent a year in Exeter, England, when she was 17, and she always told me how life-changing that experience was for her. Her stories inspired me deeply, and the wish to follow in her footsteps never left me — even though life got in the way. Now, finally, I feel the time is right.
I’m married, and while that might seem unusual for an au pair, I actually believe it’s a strength. Being in a committed, loving relationship has made me more independent, emotionally grounded, and responsible. I love my husband very much, but I’m also my own person — with dreams, curiosity, and a desire to grow. Taking this step is something I do for myself, and I believe that should be seen as a positive, not a limitation.
I come from a big family and I’m the oldest of five siblings — they are now 14, 20, 21, and 25 years old. When my youngest sister was born, I was 14, and from day one I took care of her like she was my own child. That experience taught me so much about love, responsibility, and how to truly care for a little human being. I’ve always been the kind of person children feel safe with — I love to listen, play, support, and create calm, warm spaces.
We also have a dog and a horse in our family, and animals have always been a big part of my life. Especially dogs and horses — I just connect deeply with them.
Professionally, I am a self-employed beautician, but right now I’m also doing a therapeutic training in the psychosomatic and mind-body field. I want to work more with people in a deeper, healing way in the future — and this transition period in my life feels like the perfect moment for an au pair experience abroad.
I was born and raised in Regensburg, Germany, where I still live today with my husband. We’ve been together for six years, married for three. We had a legal wedding in Las Vegas and a beautiful symbolic ceremony in Tuscany. We live in a house with a garden, and I love being outdoors — hiking, gardening, reading, doing yoga, being in nature, or by the sea.
I see this opportunity as a beautiful exchange: I’d love to support you and your children with care, structure, creativity, and kindness — while learning more about your way of life and becoming part of your daily routine.
I’m confident that I can be a trustworthy and positive influence in your children’s lives. I bring warmth, structure, and an open heart — and I would treat your family with the same care and respect I give my own.
I’m available to start between December 2025 and February 2026 — flexible depending on your family’s needs.
Thank you so much for reading and considering me as part of your world. I would love to hear from you and get to know each other.
Warmest regards,
Laura
