Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Alice, I am 22 years old, and I am from Talsano (TA), Italy. Currently, I am a student at the University of Bari, where I am pursuing a degree in DAMS (Arts of Performance), with a special interest in cinema, theater, and music. I am an outgoing, responsible, and creative person, always eager to learn and explore new things. In my free time, I enjoy playing music, singing, watching films, and engaging in creative activities such as photography.

I have always had a strong connection with children, as I grew up with my younger sisters, Sofia and Irene. Taking care of them taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and providing a nurturing environment. Additionally, I come from a family of animal lovers – we have four cats, which is another great reason why I am comfortable in a family with pets.

I have always been fascinated by the French language and culture, which is why I would love to become an Au Pair in France. I have studied French since I was 14, and I believe that this experience will help me improve my language skills while immersing myself in the French culture. I am excited about the opportunity to live in France, connect with a host family, and become more fluent in French while contributing to the family dynamic and supporting the children in their daily lives.

Although I haven’t yet worked as an Au Pair, I have gained valuable experience in child care and household responsibilities through my upbringing and my interactions with my younger siblings. Growing up with two younger sisters, I was often involved in helping to take care of them, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to engage with children in a fun and nurturing way. Whether it was helping them with homework, playing games, or taking them to the park, I learned to provide the care and attention they needed to feel secure and happy. This hands-on experience has prepared me to support a family in a similar way.

Additionally, I have always been an active part of my family’s daily routines, helping with cooking, cleaning, and organizing. I understand the balance between caring for children and maintaining a well-functioning household, which I know is an important aspect of being an Au Pair.
