Dear Host Family,
Willing to pay for visa and travel costs ✈️
My name is Isadora, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Brazil. Being an au pair is more than a job opportunity for me, it's the chance to experience something unique, full of exchange, care and mutual growth. I'd like to tell you a little about myself and why I think we could be a great pair.
I've had the joy of looking after babies and children and I believe that each stage of childhood is a world apart. With babies, I focus on creating a safe, calm and sensory-rich environment. I see this phase as the beginning of everything, the moment when they start to discover the world, and I always make sure that each experience is offered with delicacy, love and in line with the family's orientation. Routines such as sleep, meals and bath time are sacred and I deeply respect the way each family wants to approach them.
With older children (3+), I love to turn every moment into discovery and joy. I like to organize creative activities such as treasure hunts, building games, music time for dancing or singing, and especially activities with movement and imagination. It's also a precious moment to help children grow emotionally, learning to respect their parents, to value small daily gestures and to see themselves as important members of the family. A simple drawing to welcome parents home or a cheerful "good morning" can go a long way in shaping kindness.
I speak advanced English, my mother tongue is Portuguese, I can hold conversations in Spanish and I'm starting to learn German and Dutch. I don't have a driver's license yet, but I'm very motivated to get one soon.
In everyday life, I'm a calm, curious and communicative person. I love reading, watching cartoons and movies, listening to music, going to concerts and, above all, staying at home and enjoying a good conversation. I'm always open to learning something new, from a different recipe to a cultural tradition. I come from a country that celebrates diversity in food and customs, and I'd love to share that with you, just as I'm excited to learn about your family's habits and preferences.
Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to visit Belgium and I was truly moved. The country is beautiful, full of culture and very different from Brazil. Living there as an au pair is the perfect way to challenge myself, be part of something bigger and offer genuine care to a family in a new world.
I have 3 years' experience in training and developing people, which has taught me something I take into every relationship: respect and attention to each person's individual needs. Children, in particular, deserve time, space and love to grow at their own pace. I don't believe in rushing childhood, I believe in living it, feeling it and building beautiful memories.
I'm also happy to help with light household chores, such as organizing the children's belongings, setting and clearing the table, helping with pets (as long as they're gentle) and anything else related to the children's well-being. I don't see this as "just" a job - I see it as a real part of a family's daily life.
If you welcome me into your home, you won't just get an au pair. You will gain someone who truly cares about your children, who wants to accompany them on their journey and who will treat your family with the love, joy and responsibility that you deserve.
Thank you for reading my letter. It would be an honor for me to get to know you better.
Warm regards,
Isadora
