Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Jaelee, and I’m a 19-year-old (almost 20!) from a small town in Utah, USA. I’ve lived here my whole life, surrounded by a large, loving family as the second oldest of seven siblings. Growing up in a busy household, I’ve naturally taken on a caregiver role from a young age, especially after my twin siblings were born when I was 13. Helping raise them taught me so much about patience, responsibility, and the joy of being part of a child’s world.

I’m currently a Certified Nursing Assistant and hold certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), infant CPR, and adult CPR. I’ve spent the last year working in a labor and delivery unit, caring for newborns and supporting their families during some of the most important moments in their lives. In addition, I work part-time as a caregiver for my 10-year-old cousin with autism through the Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD), which has deepened my compassion and strengthened my ability to connect with children of all abilities. I’ve also taken college courses in child development and nutrition to better understand the needs of growing kids.

I’m excited to become an Au Pair because I want to experience life outside of the place I’ve always known. I’m eager to immerse myself in a new culture, broaden my worldview, and build meaningful connections with a family in another part of the world. This opportunity would allow me to continue doing what I love, caring for children while also stepping into something new and exciting.
