Hello! My name is Eva and I hope to become an AuPair in the near future. Having had multiple AuPairs myself when I was younger, I understand the positive impact it can have on a child, and the family as a whole. I have also seen what it takes to be a good versus a bad AuPair (we had 2 very good AuPairs and 1 that, unfortunately, was not so great and left within the first couple months). The enriching experiences that come with being an AuPair are unparalleled, and I am eager to contribute to creating a similarly positive and nurturing environment for any family. I really want to work more for kids as my love for children is deep-rooted, stemming from both personal and practical experiences. I have 3 younger sisters, and helping care for them has been an integral part of my life. I have also had the opportunities to watch over children in larger groups during events like work parties for my father. This has helped me gain valuable hands-on experience in managing various situations and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children under my care. So, while I don’t have all that much formal babysitting experience (I babysit from time to time, but while finishing high school and being a competitive ski racer it is difficult), I have had a ton of experience with kids in other formats. I think I would be an ideal candidate to host as I have had experience on both sides of the platform. I have had an AuPair and I have experienced what it is like to take care of kids. This combination gives me a perspective that is valuable in ensuring the best enviroment for the whole family. Also, being 18, I was a kid not too long ago. I am also used to the rules that come with living with parents and a family, something that someone older would have a harder time with after living independently for so long. I am wanting to use this time as a gap year experience. I can experience a new culture while also gaining valuable work experience with kids. Above all, I can meet a new family and create a great environment for everyone.
