I have been fortunate to have extensive experience caring for children, beginning several years ago with my younger cousins. During this time, I had the pleasure of looking after Nino, a sweet and shy 6-year-old girl. My responsibilities included playing with her Barbie’s, reading fairytales, and engaging in various activities that catered to her interests. The families I worked with treated me with respect, and I am grateful for the positive experiences and the chance to contribute to the well-being of the children.

In my role as a caregiver, I have learned valuable skills in understanding and appreciating the unique interests of children and teenagers. My experiences have been diverse, involving activities such as picking children up from school, assisting with homework, changing diapers, preparing meals, and engaging in age-appropriate games and activities. One particularly rewarding experience was caring for Gabriel, a hyperactive child, from ages 1 to 3. This involved not only attending to his basic needs but also actively participating in his development through play, feeding, and establishing routines.

My patience has been cultivated through these experiences, and I possess the strength to set necessary boundaries consistently. I approach my interactions with children with creativity, joy, playfulness, and humor. These qualities have not only contributed to successful childcare but have also made the time spent with the children enjoyable for both parties.

I am particularly drawn to the Au Pair program because it provides the unique opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture, learn about different ways of life, and, above all, connect with children on a meaningful level.
