My sister had an au pair job when she was 18 for a year in Australia which is the main reason I found out about this type of work. I like the thought of looking after children and exploring a new country. My main goal for this job is experiencing new cultures and increasing my experience with children.

My experience:
I worked in a nursery (2-4 years old) during the summer of 2019. My duties included looking after the kids, playing, providing food and clearing up. My sisters children are a huge part of my life and so I help out a couple days a week since they’ve been born.
I was also a gymnastics coach for a local club, in which I handled kids from the age of 4+.

I have been an Aupair before (September-December 2022) in Italy and visit every summer since for a few weeks. Here I looked after 3 girls, aged 4, 6 and 8.

I volunteered in Madagascar at an orphanage and school in Jan-Feb 2025. Here I am a caring, nurturing figure for the children and helping them speak English through play, fostering both learning and entertainment.

I volunteered in Sicily, Italy (March-Aril 2025) at an outdoor project school where I helped the teachers carry emotion, cognitive, social and physical development. We did stimulating activities, walk in the woods, read and play.

I am currently aupairing for a family in St Barthelemy (April-September). I am caring for a wonderful 18 month old girl.
