Dear host family,

I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.

My name is Melody. I am 25 years old and im from the Philippines but now I am in Kuwait being a nanny for 3 children . The family members are five: 2 parents, 2 daughters and 1 son . They live near the city . The two girls attending secondary school and the boy primary school but they have the same school so I can drop and pick them up together during their school days . My duties and responsibilities is taking care of the children, doing household chores and preparing meals . Our working hours start 5am-11pm so it takes 18hours a day but we can take a rest anytime when we are not busy .
I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person, who tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my friends; they are – as well as my family – very important to me. Always trying to help, I’m always there for them if they need me.
In my free time, I like to listen to music or dance. Furthermore, I enjoy reading a good book and singing – even though my voice is out of tune sometimes .
At the moment, I work as a pharmacy assistant for a pharmacy, entertaining customer everyday. I enjoy this job very much, because I am able to bond with many of my customers. I also work as a all around assistant in a printing and design and a sales staff in lumber construction.
During the baby ages of my nephews and niece , I took care of them while their parents are away. I became very close to them and I cherish the time I have spent with them. Through this time, I have found out how much fun it is to have children around, I can’t imagine a life without them.
The reason why I want to be an au pair is that I want to get to know their way of life as well as different cultures. Most importantly, it would be a great chance to spend an entire year taking care of children. And of course, it would be great to improve my English skills as well.
I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your kids. I am looking forward to talking to you.
You should choose me as an au pair because you can absolutely rely on me. I am faithful and helpful. And I am a person who loves his work with children and who performs this work with great dedication, commitment and ambition. Due the fact that I work the whole day with children I feel confident and secure in dealing with them. Another positive aspect through my work is that I am subjected to different kinds of children characters. And I also realize what it means to work with deficits children. Consequently I know how important it is to provide them individual attention and I am happy to spend that time with them. In my opinion rules are very important in dealing with children. They still have to discover the world and you should help and instruct them but it is also important to show them their borders. And I have the ability to assert myself.  I have a good combination of work experiences with children so it would be no problem for me to help the children to reach their full potential. I think varied activities are very important for children. Also the closeness to the nature and the fact to build things with their own hands. I want to enable them a varying program and I want to encourage them to try new things. I do not want to be a stranger.I want to be a part of your family and I am anxious that the children can unconditional at every time talk to me. I want to be their friend, contact person and model. I love children and their condition means a lot to me.
That is another reason why I would be a good au pair I can accustom myself very fast in new situations. I would appreciate it that you will commit me to your children and I will be aware of my duties and responsibilities as an aupair. I am adequate to the task to be an aupair because I am mature and reliable. I can promise you that your children would be in good hands. We would have a lot of fun and they will never be bored.
