My name is Devika, and I was born in 2004 in Muvattupuzha. With this letter, I would like to express my interest in applying for the position as an au pair. I am a motivated person with a great passion for children and a strong commitment to their safety.

I completed my primary and secondary education at Mannathoor Higher Secondary School. My native language is Malayalam, I have a good command of English, and basic knowledge of German. I completed all A1 level modules and the B2 level writing module in German in Muvattupuzha.

Germany has always fascinated me – its history, diverse traditions, and beautiful landscapes. Exploring different cultures is one of my great passions, and I am excited about the opportunity to experience the German way of life firsthand. The idea of working as an au pair in Germany not only aligns with my personal interests but also adds a unique dimension to my academic path. I look forward to immersing myself in the rich German culture, discovering the beauty of the country, and getting to know its friendly people. With my skills, qualities, and genuine enthusiasm, I believe I am perfectly suited for the position as an au pair.

After completing secondary school, I began working as a catechist and took part in a Christian prayer group for children up to 13 years old. During this time, I also taught students from grades 1 to 5. This experience sparked my passion for working with children, as I taught, cared for, and supported their development in a safe and nurturing environment. Since May 1, 2024, I have been employed as a child caregiver at Meow Kids Kindergarten. In this role, I prepare and serve meals, ensure cleanliness, help with homework, and support the children's learning and development.

I actively participated in various extracurricular activities such as sports, cultural programs, quizzes, camps, and competitions. I also held leadership positions such as class teacher, team captain, house manager, and program manager. These experiences have allowed me to develop key skills necessary for the role of an au pair, such as stress management, time management, and leadership.

I believe that working as an au pair offers me an excellent opportunity to further develop my skills and shape my future. Learning a foreign language is an essential aspect of self-development in today’s social and economic context, and I look forward to this opportunity.
