Talking about my plans once graduating from school, my College Counselor recommended I take a look at the AuPair program. She was aware that I am taking care of children weekly here at Uruguay, therefore thought it would be a good match for me. I will take a gap year, a year in which I will be able to focus on something different. For a long time now, I have taken various babysitting side jobs. Some weekends I take care of my 8 year-old cousin so that my aunt and uncle can have some much-needed alone time. Additionally, my mother's friends often seek my assistance in looking after their children, a responsibility I embrace eagerly. Their trust in my abilities speaks volumes about my competence as a babysitter. Currently, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays I take care of a sweet boy called Finn, who lives in the house of the US Embassy here in Uruguay.

My expectations for the au pair stay are rooted in the desire to become an integral part of your family's life while also maintaining flexibility. I embrace the idea of being actively involved in family activities, wether is outings, meals, or special occasions. I believe that true cultural exchange and connection occurs when I'm fully immersed in your family's daily life and routines which I am more than open to mold in.

At the same time, I understand the importance of personal time and space for both you and your family members. As such, I am fully respectful of boundaries and privacy, and I am more than willing to accommodate the need for personal time as necessary.

Communication is key to ensuring that our expectations align and that we can navigate any challenges or adjustments that may arise along the way. I am open to discussing any concerns or preferences you may have regarding our arrangement, and am dedicated to maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship throughout our time together. I value to importance of flexibility. I understand that schedules chan change, and circumstances may arise. I will always be there to offer my assistance when needed. Open communication will be key to ensure that our expectations align and that we can work together harmoniously.

Just like I do at home, I would assist with various house chores, ensuring a well-maintained living environment for everyone. I like to live in a well-kept, clean environment. I can cook, help with meal prep, washing laundry, and am open to other things you may need. When it comes to child care, I consider myself not only a caregiver but also a mentor and friend to the children under my care. I can help with bath time and bedtime routines, more than open to being part of these important rituals.
