I first started working as a part-time babysitter for families in my community which not only sparked my passion for working with children but also inspired me to pursue Paediatrics as a career, and although I have a long way to go before I am fully qualified, going into my fourth year studying medicine has provided me with some integral skills needed for caring for children. Babysitting provided the opportunity to support and engage with kids in a variety of different areas such as creative play, assisting with homework, or providing emotional support and I find nurtuing the children's growth and development immensely fulfilling.

As well as babysitting, I have previous roles as both a Beaver young leader, and a stable hand at my looking riding school which provided me with invaluable hands-on expereince in childcare. I have had the opportunity to work with children of various ages, from infants to pre-teens, each presenting unique developmental stages and needs. With of the most rewarding aspects I found from this was the oportunity to form meaningful connections with the children under my care. I loved building trust, establishing routines and providing a creative, supportive, environment for the children. Witnessing the children thrive and flourish under my guidance has been incredibly gratifying and reinforces my commitment to this field.

Moreover, my experiences working with children have taught me valuable life skills such as time management, organization, and effective communication. Balancing the needs of multiple children, coordinating schedules, and adapting to unforeseen circumstances have honed my ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

I would love to become an Au Pair/Nanny abroad as I love experiencing different cultures and learning from different perspectives. Embracing cultural diversity not only enhances my understanding of the world but also enriches my ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Working as an Au Pair allows me to combine my passion for childcare with my love for travel and exploration. By stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing new challenges, I am confident that I will emerge as a more resilient, adaptable, and globally-minded individual.
