Hi, my name is Lola, and I’m excited about the possibility of joining your family as an au pair.I
love children and the chance to live with a family in a foreign city would be a very enriching
opportunity.

When it comes to experience, I’ve been giving weekly English classes to two 7-year-olds for the
last year and I really enjoy spending time with them and preparing fun activities that involve lots
of play and movement. Last summer, I also looked after my 8-year-old cousin from Monday to
Friday for a month. That involved keeping him entertained and helping with his homework. It
was a special time and a lovely way to strengthen our bond. I’m also happy to assist with light
household tasks and while I don’t have a lot of cooking experience, I’m more than willing to
prepare simple meals if necessary.

Here’s a little about me: I’ll be 18 in October. I’ve grown up in Barcelona, so I speak Spanish and
Catalan and we’ve always spoken English at home because my mum is Scottish. My hobbies
include watching independent films, and as I get older, an appreciation of cultural activities in
general. In the future, I’m considering doing a degree in design. I am also very keen to learn
German and I plan to start a German language course here in Barcelona in September so that I
have a basic understanding of the language before I arrive.
