Hello!! My name is Jimena, I am 19 years old and I am currently in my gap year before university, with Spanish and Mexican nationality. I have lived all my life in Mexico.

I come from a family of 5. I am a person who loves being with his family and taking care of people. I have goals for my future, and many people and places that I want to meet, and it is important for me to have different experiences in my life. I am a friendly person, and they say that I am fun to be with, I am good with all kinds of people and I work under great pressure; I know that this job will help me in helping out at home, taking care of children, teaching and being part of a team. I am interested in chemistry, biology, and physics. I am a hard worker, I have experience with customer service and working in stores. I trust myself a lot in being independent, I am good at working in a team, and I have a great capacity for adaptation.

My first language is Spanish, and I am 100% fluent in English. I started learning English when I was little since I travel a lot to the United States and the language is part of my life. I finished high school in 2022, at school I always liked all the subjects, I advised my classmates and I insisted on helping them to succeed in their work. I do not drink, smoke, vape, or consume any substance.

Since my brothers are younger than me, and I have younger cousins, I have always taken care of them, help with my brothers since they were born, I was always there for them every day, and I love taking care of them always. From there I got my pleasure in taking care of children, my experience in childcare is with a beautiful 11-year-old girl, who suffers from a mental disability, I helped her with her daily activities while her parents were not at home, we went for a walk, We went to therapy, cooked and ate together, it was the best caregiving experience I've ever had and I learned about the great work that goes into caring for another person. I am a volunteer in an association in my city, in which we are dedicated to making inns and pantries for the children of company workers, we do different activities such as parties, meals, and stories, among other things, supporting the little ones in any way possible.

My favorite activities to do in my free time are biking and running. As a formal activity, I am part of the flag football team at my school. I like to spend my time outdoors, in green spaces, and moving around. I also have a great passion for confectionery, I can make any type of dessert, and I always love to experiment with new foods and from other countries, I sell my desserts to acquaintances although it is an activity that I do for pleasure. I like reading books, and spending hours talking about any subject, sharing stories, and listening to others is something I can spend a lot of time doing. I am an affectionate person, in my country hugs and light physical contact are normal, I look for any opportunity to share time with the people around me, and that makes me happy.

I'm looking to be an au pair, because I know I have a lot to give, share myself and give a little of my culture, my language, and all the knowledge I have, I want to learn from other countries and other cultures. I want to establish a good relationship with your family, and provide them with peace and a healthy person who studies and teaches, who loves traveling and working in different countries, sharing my culture and combining it with taking care of children for a few months of adventure, study, and travel. I qualify for the position since I am a protective person, I will take good care of your children without your absence, I have great maturity, responsibility, and education, I love living with children and I am attentive, communicative, and understanding with everything your child needs, I have a clear vocation for child care.

I can learn a lot from you, and you from me, I leave my comfort zone and I know that I will leave a positive mark on the growth of your children, creating memories that I will cherish forever.
