Hello host families! I'm Melissa, a 17 year old student from Scotland. I'm looking to get a couple months of experience working / living in Japan before going to university to study Japanese in September.

I'm friendly, hard-working and eager to help you in any way that I can. I'd be happy to assist with housework and cook meals, as well as look after children and aid them with their English language learning. I have studied Japanese for a few years so have basic knowledge of the language, and I'm keen to further my studies whilst engaging with and learning more about all aspects of this fascinating culture.

I have a love for children, having greatly enjoyed babysitting and helping out with younger dance classes in the past. I've also committed to the role of Literacy Ambassador in school, where I work with younger children to improve their English and reading abilities through activates such as paired reading. Furthermore, I have recently led German classes for 7-9 year-olds at my local primary school. I'd be delighted to play games or sports with children too.

I hope to join a family where I can be a highly enthusiastic and supportive addition to your home. I would love to foster a friendly relationship where we can maintain contact after my stay is complete.
