Hei,

My name is Jonna! I am currently in my last year of school in Germany, which I will finish in july. This is why I would only be able to start at the end of july.

I have dual-citizenship of Finland and Germany, as my family is partly from Finland as well. Therefore I have visited Finland countless times for summer vacation at the Mökki or in the winter to ski and I have always loved it. However, having grown up in Germany, I was predominantly exposed to German culture and now I’m very excited to have the opportunity to fully immerse myself in Finnish culture. My mother tongue is German and I speak English fluently. Minä puhun vain vähän suomea, mutta minä haluaisin opiskella lisää.

Additionally, I have a driver’s license and I don’t smoke and eat vegetarian.

And because I won't be starting any further education at university or elsewhere until the late summer of 2025, I would happily stay for longer than six months, possibly up to 10, 11 or 12 months.

儿童照看经验

Over the course of the years, I have gained experience in working with toddlers and children in general. I had my first babysitter job in 2019 and have been taking care of children from age two to twelve ever since. For the last 2,5 years I have mainly spent time with a now 6 year old girl, who is growing up bilingually. Usually my tasks include playing with her, tidying up her room with her or making food for her. When the weather allows it, we enjoy going to the playground and I’ve also been helping the parents in teaching her how to swim. All in all, I have experience with taking care of children in English.

Additionally, I have been privately tutoring students from second to tenth grade since 2020. Predominantly in English, but I have experience in teaching maths, German and French as well. Because of the pandemic, many lessons were held online, however, recently I’ve taught more in-person lessons. Tutoring has improved my communication and adaptability, teaching me to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning situations. It also enhanced my patience, empathy, and problem-solving skills, essential for tailoring my teaching to individual children and overcoming challenges.
