My name is Pelin, and I am a 23-year-old from Istanbul, Turkey. In May 2024, I graduated with a degree in Tourism Guidance. Currently, I live with my family in Tekirdağ, a beautiful city near Istanbul. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have developed a deep passion for cultural exchange, caregiving, and working with people of all ages.

The reason I want to become an Au Pair & Home Share participant with the elderly is my strong desire to help people and create meaningful connections. Two summers ago, in 2023, I worked at Camp Allen in the United States, a summer camp dedicated to individuals with special needs. This three-month experience was truly life-changing for me. Taking care of children and elderly individuals not only strengthened my sense of responsibility but also allowed me to form genuine bonds. By the end of the summer, I felt an overwhelming sense of fulfillment, yet also an emptiness, as the people I cared for had become like family to me. This experience reinforced my passion for caregiving and my ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

More recently, I was selected to participate in a European Solidarity Corps (ESC) project in Spain, where I lived in Cambados for two months. During this time, I contributed to cultural heritage and sustainability projects while engaging in community service. Upon returning to Turkey, I worked as a babysitter for a two-year-old girl for 10 months, which further enriched my experience in childcare. Currently, I am employed as a Mini Club member at Ramada Hotel, where I work closely with children, ensuring they have a fun, safe, and engaging experience.

What makes me a great candidate for this opportunity is not only my extensive experience with children and the elderly but also my personality. I am a warm, responsible, and patient individual who easily adapts to new environments. I take pride in being tidy and organized—you will never find my room messy! Moreover, I have a fun and entertaining nature, which allows me to build strong relationships with people of all ages.
