Dear host family,

It is with great anticipation that I present to you my application as an au pair.

I am a friendly and very compassionate person, as they say I am fun to be with. I have good interpersonal skills, am hardworking and can handle pressure. I can be particular with their culture as I will be working in a home. In my free time I like to watch movies or sometimes soccer.

There are times when I just want to sit and share ideas with people or rather start a friendly conversation. I have just finished university and I graduate in September.

I have cared for children from newborns to teenagers and have experience with all ages.

I have experience with feeding, bathing, dressing, changing diapers, playing, reading stories, singing songs and putting children to bed.

I am confident that I can be a valuable asset to your team and look forward to the opportunity to discuss this position further with you.

The reasons why I want to be an au pair because I also want to experience the culture of other countries will help me become better because it will really test how strong I am as a person because I will be away from my loved one.

Explore more places in my free time and make new friends. I will be able to learn and deal with the more complex ins-and-outs of life.

I would also love to help your children learn English. I speak fluent English and would love to help learn bit by bit to improve their know-how of the language.

I believe being an au pair will help me to be an independent and responsible person. If I take good care of my host family, it will give me more responsibility. Lending a hand counts even in my own small way. During this experience, I know that I can learn a lot from the family and really look forward to having a harmonious relationship with them. Learning more about life from a different perspective that is out of my comfort zone.

And these memories will be cherished forever.
