My name is John, but everyone calls me Jack. I'm from Seattle, Washington, and currently live and attend university in Boston, Massachusetts. I will receive my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University in May 2024. Through my university, I recently studied abroad in Padova, Italy. Through my internship at Progetto Giovani, the youth policy office of the municipality, I taught English and led workshops for students and young adults. I loved living abroad, learning a new language and culture, and seeing the different ways of being a person in the world. Aside from working with students in Padova, I've also worked with kids in the United States for 5 years at The Boys and Girls Club. I've primarily worked with teenagers (ages 11-14) and kindergarten/first grade (ages 5-7), but I have considerable experience with all age groups. Two years ago, I was placed in charge of the summer teen program for our club and have received county-wide recognition for consistency and support.

I have extensive childcare experience, have taught English to youths, and have lived and worked in a non-English environment. I hope to be an au pair for more than one year (ideally 18-24 months), providing a long-term consistency to the family and children. I'm organized, clean, easy to live with, can cook, have an international driver's license, and can drive a manual. Being an Au Pair is the perfect intersection of my skills and work experience with my desire to learn about and see the world -- and I would love to be your Au Pair. :)
