Nice to meet you! My name is Melany, I'm a 21-year-old university student from the USA studying Music and French language in England. I'll be graduating this summer and am hoping to come to Switzerland from August-December 2024 as an au pair! I love childcare professions and when with the right family, I think it's the perfect occupation for me.

Almost all of my professional experience in the past 5 years has been in the fields of education and childcare. I've been blessed with amazing opportunities like being an English teacher in France last year, a nanny for some wonderful families, a music tutor, and a special needs teaching assistant. I've learned so much from these experiences about education and child development, but I think it's so interesting to observe how children learn and develop in a home setting.

My biggest asset as an au pair would be my experience as an English teacher in France, the fact that I already speak French quite well, and my background in music and art. As a childcare professional, I try to aid children in their personal and educational development by exposing them to many different forms of "brain fodder" - art, literature, culture, language, dance, and especially music!
