Good evening from Ohio, and I hope this letter finds you well.
My name is Brenna. I am 19 years old, a college student, a caregiver and I live in rural ohio.
On a deeper level I am somebody who wants to pour into others. I am a dreamer, a wanderlust. I was adopted by older parents in society's standards. I faced a lot of challenges. I am African American and my parents are Caucasian. I never felt like I belonged. But then I realized how big the world was. And as far as I knew, I had so much love to give. That's what really harvested the desire to travel. But serving people has always been on my mind and been my purpose.
I grew up playing with the farm animals and hanging out with my neighbors who were at least eighty. I then began to start babysitting. Then I became a caregiver. I have seen people pass on. I have seen a lot of really scary/ sad things. Which is just a part of the human experience. But the gift is being able to be a source of comfort kindness and love for the person who needs it.
I would appreciate the opportunity to be hosted because it's something I never thought was possible. I didn't know I could fuse my dreams of wanting to travel and meet new people and the desire to serve people and make it into something realistic for a nineteen year old.
I believe that I qualify because I have a lot of experience for someone in my age with the elderly and children. And I'm always willing to learn things I don't know to do. I think being young is really difficult when you want to have these unique experiences because you're supposed to have experience but the gift of life is learning how to do things. I know for a fact that I'm flexible. And I would say that people tend to like me, but you know ;)
