写给家庭的信
Hello, it's lovely to meet you!
I'm Ines, a young woman who is graduating high school and has been raised in a multi-cultural Christian household in Silicon Valley. Since one parent is French-Corsican and the other is Korean-born-Chinese, I grew up exposed to several cultures, languages, and lifestyles. I speak French fluently, understand Chinese at a very basic level, and am trying to learn more about Korea and the Korean language. The area where I live is diverse and I have always been very eager to learn more about different countries and their cultures, cuisines, languages, and values. As for my educational background, I'm a homeschooler and current dual enrollment student at a local community college. I have taken honors classes in multiple subjects, am an AP Scholar, and am highly experienced in music, competitive speaking, and tutoring/leadership. I have also worked as a medical assistant in a pediatrics office, as well as working in childcare and teaching for a children's ministry, and I absolutely love spending time with kids of all ages. For several years, I have participated in taking care of a sick family member and have become skilled at balancing housework - cooking, cleaning, mending, organizing, etc. - with my schoolwork and social life.
I would like to be an Au Pair for several reasons: First, I am most fulfilled when I care for people. Whether it's tutoring or babysitting, taking care of children brings me so much joy and teaches me important life skills. I would also like to be an Au Pair to either strengthen my existing language proficiency, or pick up a new language and immerse myself in a culture that is entirely different to the American way of life. To me, Au Pairing would be a challenging yet fulfilling way to travel and work while remaining in a safe family setting. I also think being an Au Pair for an extended period of time will help me mature and develop my personality even more, along with giving me the chance to practice financial and personal responsibility in a new place.
I look forward to getting to know you and potentially becoming part of your family!
