Dear Host Family,
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

Firstly, I want to introduce myself. People usually call me Rhola. I am female, 25 years old, living in Tangerang, Indonesia. But now, currently in Germany as an Au Pair (from Jan 2024 - Jan 2025). I guess, now, you are sitting down and reading a lot of letters, coming from the others perspective Au Pairs, but rest assured, you will not regret to read my text here.

After graduation in 2021, I just got an information about being an Au Pair from my friends and cousins. Besides, I was curious about what exactly the Au Pair’s doing in the middle of nowhere. When I dug about this job, I was impressed with the Au Pairs’ experiences that they shared on the blog or on YouTube videos. Those experiences gave me an idea to be like that, which align with my dreams. Being an Au Pair, is a chance to not only explore the world, but also to maximize my own potential and grow more.

I am currently living with my parents. My mom and dad are 57 years old. Long time ago, my dad was a journalist, and my mom was an employee in a company. But now, none of them are working. Since my sister and I have graduated, my parents stay at home. My sister is a nurse at Siloam Hospital at Yogyakarta, different city with us, and I am a teacher, a Montessori Preschool Teacher since July 2022. Now, I have decided to explore more from the world and other countries afterwards!

Long story short, I would love to become your next Au Pair, because I love children and enjoy when spending time with them. When I become a preschool teacher, I learned a lot not only about the materials in the class, but also about the characteristic of the child. I am well prepared and well aware for taking care of your children. I am a responsible person and willing to learn new skills as what you need. I will adapt to the new tasks and daily routine quickly and become a big help for you. Living with me is not difficult. I will respect you and follow your rules. If something works not quite as it should, I prefer to talk instead of ignoring things.
