写给家庭的信
Dear Host Family,
My name is Akaki, a 25-year-old financial analyst from Tbilisi, Georgia. I graduated with a major in finance and a minor in Chinese language—a passion I’ve been nurturing for years. Learning Chinese has been more than an academic goal; it’s opened a window into China’s rich culture and history, inspiring me to seek a deeper connection by living here. That’s why I’m thrilled to continue my journey as an Au Pair, where I can fully immerse myself in the language while building meaningful bonds with a host family.
Currently, I’m an Au Pair in Chengdu, caring for a lively 4-year-old boy and preparing for my HSK4 exam. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to improve my Chinese through daily conversations, playful interactions with my host child, and even navigating Chengdu’s vibrant street markets together. I’ve loved being part of a Chinese family’s routine—helping with meals, bedtime stories, and weekend adventures—all while sharing bits of my own culture. It’s confirmed my belief that the best way to learn is by living the language, not just studying it!
My motivation to continue as an Au Pair stems from my desire to further refine my Mandarin and embrace the nuances of family life in China. I’m eager to bring the same warmth, responsibility, and enthusiasm to your household. Having previously lived with an American host family through the FLEX program, I understand the importance of adaptability, open communication, and creating a positive, supportive environment for children.
Beyond responsibility, I pride myself on being kind, patient, and a little playful—traits kids seem to love! Whether we’re practicing English through games, exploring outdoors, or cooking together, I prioritize safety, fun, and cultural exchange. My active lifestyle means your children will have a companion who’s always up for adventures (or silly dance parties).
Thank you for considering me to join your family. I’d cherish the opportunity to learn from you, contribute to your children’s growth, and share this cross-cultural journey together.
Warm regards,
Akaki
