Throughout my education and travel, I have accumulated many experiences which make me well suited to be an au pair/live in tutor. I began learning a second language quite young in a Spanish-Immersion primary school, and at eleven years old, I was part of an exchange program in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. I lived there for two months with my host family, fully immersed in the language and the culture, and the benefits it has had in my own education cannot be overstated! As I grew older, I began babysitting and working as a camp counselor. In those years, I found great joy working with children and took care of children from ages 3-13. In between those experiences, I was able to excel in all areas of school and regularly took part in peer tutoring. All in all, I see great value to the style of caretaking and education that goes into being an au pair, and I will strive to emulate that in every way.
