Hello potentially future au pair: how are you doing? Let me introduce our family. My name is Anton, I am 64 and an international livestock consultant, working in Uzbekistan, but every month coming back home to Kyrgyzstan to keep in touch with wife and kids. We live in the rural areas with a beautiful view on the Ala Too snow-capped mountains. We have a small farm of 6 ha where we used to run a goat dairy with cheese making etc. , but we are winding that down as we hope this summer to be all going to Uzbekistan. The children are finishing the school year in Kyrgyzstan. Umut is 39, studied English, has a local MBA and did social work in Columbia University in the USA. She is in dire need for someone to assist her with the kids, who are very clever, chatter away in 4 languages and love their animals (at the moment the goats are lambing so especially the girl Bermet (Pearl in Kyrgyz) runs around with the babies in her arm. Albert is more for the dog, going into his tree house and shooting his bow and arrows. We live in a tiny village up-country, about 5 km from the main road to Bishkek. The nearest larger village is Sokoluk, from where it is 30km to Bishkek: you can get there with our local taxi to the main road (30 cents) and then with a collect taxi / mini bus for 40 cents to Bishkek. There are language schools in Bishkek, but I wouldn't be surprised if we can find you a language teacher in the village who would like to get to know you and help you with Russian study. I speak Russian besides a number of other languages and can help when I am around. We are looking for someone ASAP until around June when the kids' holidays start. There are plenty travel possibilities after your stay with us: we can accomodate you in Tashkent and show you the way how to get to Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva etc. Looking forward to hearing from you: feel free to ask questions and I will answer with pleasure.
