Dear future au pair, We are a family with two sons (5 and 8 years old) and live in Brühl, a medium-sized town 30 minutes away from the city of Cologne. As a family, we enjoy going out, meeting friends, and going on trips. The boys are big soccer fans and go to training once a week with an inclusive handball team, which they really enjoy. They also both like going to swimming lessons. We love music and making music. The 5 years old goes to early music education classes once a week and the mother sings in a choir. Maybe you like music or sports too? Then you've come to the right place! The 8 years old is a big fan of trains, digital maps, and the Bundesliga soccer league. He also loves building difficult Lego figures and is incredibly good at it. He is an autist and sometimes also needs somebody who helps him to manage different things. The younger brother is interested in role-playing games, dinosaurs, and climbing. We all enjoy playing board games and look forward to new players! We also like to spend time with our friends and relatives who live nearby. We enjoy inviting them to our home to eat, play, or do something outside together. We would be delighted if you also enjoy company and would like to host with us! We have a house in a quiet area of Brühl. You would have your own room here with a bathroom that would mostly be for your use only. The house also has a large garden where the boys like to climb or play soccer, and where we like to sit and barbecue in the summer. Brühl is a quiet town with excellent infrastructure. Shopping facilities, doctors, and leisure activities can be reached on foot or by bike. With the “Ville” landscape area and the park of Brühl Castle, there are also many opportunities to enjoy nature, go for walks, and swim in lakes. Brühl is located between the major cities of Cologne and Bonn. Both cities are easily accessible not only by car but also by several trains if you want to do some sightseeing or hang out with friends. We would be delighted to introduce you to our family, our life, our surroundings, and the region! If you would like to get to know us, we look forward to talking to you!
