给互惠生的信
Dear future Au Pair!
Thank you so much for getting in touch with us, we’re excited with the probability of you being part of our family! We spend 6 amazing months with our previous Au Pair and now because of personal matters she has to return home, so we’re looking for someone who can help us with our boys Malo (6 years) and Matt (4 years).
Let me introduce the family members:
- The Parents:
Sophie (Mom) I’m a busy manager of a shoes company! I work very hard to provide the best for our family members, but also enjoy to spend time with them going out for dinners, playing in the park and also enjoying getting to know other cultures!
Mrs Hu (Dad) is a Marine pilot ! He’s also very busy but enjoys to spend time with the kids teaching them Mandarin and playing games with them! He’s very chill and mostly quiet, but you can ask him everything and he’ll do his best to help you with the kids. We both want you to feel like you’re at home! ?
- The Kids:
Malo is the oldest and loves to play outside with friends, or games inside with us! He’s very active and curious, he enjoys learning about new things! He’s also very loving but can lose his temper if something doesn’t come like he expects, so now we’re teaching them how to deal with his feelings by letting him take his time first and then talk to him! He also loves to read books and will help you improve your mandarin just like he did with our previous Au Pair Carol.
Matt is a typical 2nd child who’s always in his own world. He also loves to play like his big brother, but he also enjoys to spend time doing his thing alone!
They both studied in a Brazilian kindergarten before, so they have a basic knowledge of the Brazilian culture and language!
We want to build an environment for the kids where they can grow safely and thrive being the best! If you can come help us, your schedule will be something like this:
From Monday to Friday:
- In the morning you will probably have class at school from 8:30 am-11:50am (You can have breakfast and lunch at home or outside, is whatever you prefer- you can eat whatever you want in the fridge). Then you can have your own free time before the kids are back from school at 4:30pm.
- 4:30PM: get the kids from school (only 5 minutes to walk from school to home)
- 5:00PM-6:30PM: cooking and eating . During this time kids will do their homework. (Maybe my Mom or my Husband will do the cooking, but if they’re not there we’re gonna need your help to cook??)
- 7:00PM-8:30 PM: Checking the homework, learn Portuguese or English,(I hope you can have some teaching plans and prepare lessons for Portuguese and English)
- 8:45PM-9:00PM: Brush teeth and take shower
- 9:00PM- 9:30PM: Read a book, and kids will sleep (the parents pr grandma will be there to put them to sleep).
Every Thursday in your Chinese school they have a club activity, if you want to attend you can stop work 6:30PM on that day and we can take care of kids by ourselves. I encourage you attend the activity to make more friends in China. Then you will have more of your own time, be able to adapt to life in here more quickly and better.
On Saturday:
- Stay with kids from 9:00PM-17:PM (you can arrange the activity by yourself with kids. For example Portuguese or English, play games inside or outside, painting, etc. )
On Sunday:
- It’s your day off! But if you don’t have any other plan you’re welcome to stay with us and we can go out together to go fishing, hiking, go to the park, shopping mall (we have tons of malls here ?)
No matter what holiday it is in China, we just need follow the schedule above! That means every week, you’ll have 33 hours of work with kids. But if you need a specific day off, we can talk and arrange the time!
We hope we can have very relax way to live together! Everything can be discuss, and I hope we can treat each other with sincerity, no matter what problem you face you can tell us and we will do our best to support and help you! On the other hand, we hope that you are a responsible person, at the beginning everything is going to be different but we’re here to help you overcome the difficult. We expect you to be strong and positive, work and study hard, and then you will receive a lot of experience in China.
Also I would like to send you some questions!
- What’s your current job?
- What’s your style when you’re working with kids? For example: If the kids are fighting what do you usually do?
- If the kids do not listen to you how should you do? What you will talk to them?
- Do you have any bad habits?
Thank you so much for considering us for being your host family in China! We want you to have the best time here and we work together as partners helping the kids to thrive! Please if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me!
