I worked with two children, a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl. I got to know them and spend about 6 months with them. It was an interesting experience, children teach us all the time. And from them I learned that every child needs special care. I witnessed moments with the children where they were very anxious, needy, and always open to affection. I knew I was doing a good job because they always asked when they could come to my house (laughs), which warmed my heart. I took care of them while their mother took care of her obligations outside the home. They were uplifting moments, I learned from them and, above all, I learned to be patient. They were not easy children, but all the affection they showed me was gratifying.
