Hi! My name is Melanie, and I am a 17 year old finishing my last year of high school in Dallas, Texas. I am looking to be an Au Pair or nanny this upcoming summer (the start of June to the end of August) upon graduating high school. I want to be an Au Pair to travel the world and explore new places, but also to meet new families. As far as my experience being away from Texas, I lived in Hong Kong until I was 10 years old, spent my junior year of high school studying in Spain, and worked as an au pair in New York this past summer. I do not struggle being far from home and quickly adapt to new places. I am now conversationally fluent in spanish, but I still want to get better, and am open to learning new languages as well. I also have a lot of child care and teaching experience - I privately tutored adults and kids in english as a second language and taught at an english academy while living in Spain. I also contributed within my host family in Spain, taking care of my host sister and her friends and helping out around the house. In my time in the USA, I work at a daycare, taking care of kids from ages 1-6. In my past au pair job, I took care of two six year olds (one with special needs) and an 11 year old, as well as the children's grandmother. I am good at changing diapers, problem-solving, playing with kids, cooking, driving, and other household chores. I also have babysitting experience in Spain and the USA, and am starting to work as an intern in a speech pathology business. I truly love childcare and new experiences, so I would love to join your family as an Au Pair!
