I have approximately 4 years au pairing experience, working with children of various ages. I worked in Boston MA, where I looked after a 1 year old boy and 3 year old girl. I then returned to South Africa in 2018 and worked in the Finance department of a primary school. Once I was comfortable with the financial aspects of the role, I decided to assist the educators with the after school homework program as working with children brought me and still brings me much joy and a sense of purpose. I am currently working for a family with 3 children aged 10, 13 and 15. The roles mentioned above consisted of catering to all the children’s needs such as bath time, bedtime, homework, exam preparations, curating intellectually stimulating activities, pick-ups from school, driving them to any extra-curricular activities/hobbies, cooking for the entire family, creating enjoyable itineraries during the school holidays, grocery shopping, monthly household expense report, PA errands, reflecting all school related activities on parents calendars, managing the kids schedules and ensuring the household runs smoothly.
