My name is Shannon and I am from Ireland. I have been excited for a long time to begin my journey as an Au Pair in Europe. I come from a family of 4 children with myself being the oldest sibling to 3 brothers, so I understand the true value of children having a positive role model. I would describe myself as a caring, fun and energetic person.

I have a degree in Primary Education and have been a high school maths teacher for the past 4 years. I am currently completing my masters in Special Educational Needs Coordination. My favourite part about working with young people is not just guiding them towards gaining their qualifications, but also being able to help them develop to become successful, driven and confident young people. Throughout my years of teaching, I have taken a lot of responsibility for the pastoral care of my students through which I have been able to develop strong, trusting relationships with my students. I would now like to take these skills and use them in a context outside of education, where I can become more involved in the home lives of children and beginning as an Au Pair would be the perfect way of doing this.
I would love the opportunity to become part of a family and have a positive impact on the lives of the children that I work with. I would also appreciate the opportunity to become immersed in different cultures and languages and would love to share mine too. You can expect me to be a reliable person who you and your children will be able to depend on. I am hard-working and would be prepared to take full responsibility for any duties you require me to do in your home.
