Hi!
My name is Carlee and I am from the United States, but am currently based in Madrid as an English Language Assistant in a secondary school. English is my native language, but I do speak an intermediate level of Spanish. I am still learning!
I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Minnesota. Prior to the pandemic, I was pursuing a degree to be a secondary teacher in the United States.
I am interested in an Au Pair or Nannying position because I really enjoy working with kids. I've worked with kids for 5 years ranging from infants to secondary-aged kids. There is never a dull moment while working with children and I really appreciate the variety!
I have lived on my own for a handful of years now, so I am a respectful roommate and know how to take care of a home. I value organization and cleanliness in my personal spaces as well as the common spaces.

儿童照看经验
I've had many experiences nannying for various family members or for neighborhood families growing up. I also worked for two years as an Assistant Teacher in a daycare working primarily with infants. While I've never directly lived with the families I care for, I have spent long periods of time in their homes and make it a point to clean up after myself and the children before going back home.
I think being an Au Pair or Nanny abroad would provide culturally rich experiences. While I've been living in Spain for the last 8 months, I don't live with a Spanish family. I interact with many Spanish people everyday, but I think living in a Spanish home would provide a unique and elevated experience. Perhaps it could serve as an opportunity to improve my Spanish as well.
